Acupuncture and Women's Health Issues

Many hormonal problems are due to slight imbalances in the delicate endocrine system, which may alter a pathway by which the body produces or utilizes hormones. Even a slight aberration can throw the entire system off so it no longer functions smoothly.

Modern diagnostic techniques may not detect any laboratory abnormality or functional causes at all. Research has shown that acupuncture influences these hormonal pathways and assists our own internal energies to restore endocrine harmony. Certain meridians, for example, influence the internal reproductive organs, others effect the kidneys & adrenal glands and the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis; all of which need to be in balance for optimum functioning of the body, mind, and spirit.

This sophisticated yet subtle method of treatment is so effective because of its focus on each individual's particular needs. Your treatment will be tailored to address your specific imbalances, and will revitalize you in a relaxed atmosphere.

QiGong

Qigong (or ch'i kung) refers to a wide variety of traditional “cultivation” practices that involve methods of accumulating, circulating, and working with Qi or energy within the body. Qigong is sometimes mistakenly said to always involve movement and/or regulated breathing; in fact, use of special methods of focusing on particular energy centers in and around the body are common in the 'higher level' or evolved forms of Qigong. Qigong is practiced for health maintenance purposes, as a therapeutic intervention, as a medical profession, a spiritual path and/or component of Chinese martial arts.

Through working inside your body and mind, using the methodology of Qigong, you may achieve a perfect harmony in your body, mind, and spirit, so this may lead to a more energetic and healthier life. Therefore, QiGong is the Chinese way of cultivating the human body and is the ancient Chinese methodology for health, therapy, and longevity. Our QiGong Master provides supportive energy therapies which compliment Western medical treatments for cancer and metastatic disease, heart disease, and neurological disease including MS.
